An experienced cabinet maker and self-taught sculptor whose technique adds a

contemporary character to wood carving, Thierry’s technique is pure, carving

oblique lines into, what are often large, wooden panels and pieces.

 

He uses wood

sourced in the forests of the Grande Chartreuse in the French Alps.

research into different types of wood reveals new textures without his work losing

any of its simplicity.
